Vic man, 73, charged over child assault
An elderly Victorian man has been extradited to Queensland over accusations he sexually assaulted a teenage girl more than 20 years ago.
The man, now 73, is accused of inappropriately touching the girl at a Gold Coast home and a Port Douglas motel between 1995 and 1997 when she was in her early teens.
He was arrested at Swan Hill in Victoria on Sunday and extradited to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Thursday on five counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16.
