Girl, 14, charged with Sydney stabbing
A 14-year-old girl has been charged with stabbing a 19-year-old woman multiple times on a western Sydney street.
Police say the victim was attacked on Cornelia Road, Toongabbie, just after midnight on Wednesday morning, by a female who asked to use a mobile phone.
The victim was allegedly threatened and stabbed multiple times in her stomach, back and arms, before her attacker fled.
The injured woman was able to walk home and contact emergency services, and was taken to Westmead Hospital where she remains in a stable condition.
A 14-year-old girl has been arrested and is due to appear in a children's court on Thursday charged with wound with intent, and robbery with wounding in relation to a separate offence.
