Young Qld driver charged over Cairns death
A learner driver has been charged after the death of a 20-year-old man found lying on a far north Queensland road.
Police initially believed the dead man had suffered "some form of violence" after spotting him when they were called to a house party in the Cairns suburb of Manunda early on Friday. He died at the scene.
A 21-year-old Cairns man has been charged with driving without due care and attention causing death and failing to comply with learner licence requirements.
