Vic Premier holds off conceding Ripon
The Victorian seat of Ripon might have been declared a Liberal victory less than 24 hours ago but with a 15 vote lead, Labor isn't willing to concede defeat just yet.
Premier Daniel Andrews told reporters on Sunday with a 15 vote lead in favour of Liberal sitting member Louise Staley, he'd hold off on conceding the seat until the Victorian Electoral Commission declared the result on Monday.
"Let's wait and see what the electoral commissioner declares tomorrow. But it would seem the Liberal Party have been able to retain that seat," he said.
Ms Staley was announced as the successful candidate by the Victorian Electoral Commission on Saturday.
