Alleged sexual predator arrested in Sydney
An alleged sexual predator who attacked numerous girls and women in Sydney in the two decades to 2010 has been arrested in the city's northwest.
NSW Police said the 51-year-old man was arrested on Thursday after tests revealed "forensic links" between four incidents in the Ryde area between 1989 and 2007.
The man is expected to be charged on Thursday afternoon with up to a dozen offences related to more than four victims.
The women attacked were aged between 14 and 40, a NSW Police spokeswoman told AAP.
The alleged perpetrator didn't know the victims who were targeted in "predator-style attacks".
The 51-year-old was arrested at an Epping home on Thursday morning after detectives from the child abuse and sex crimes squad in June established Strikeforce Petit to re-investigate the historic assaults.
