Woman charged after pedestrian hit in QLD

A woman has been charged with manslaughter and high-range drink-driving after a pedestrian was hit and killed north of Brisbane.

The 56-year-old man was found dead at Wamuran, west of Caboolture, about 7pm on Saturday after he was hit by a car.

A 52-year-old woman, who was known to the man, has been charged with manslaughter and high-range drink-driving after she recorded a blood alcohol level of 0.241 per cent, Queensland Police said in a statement on Sunday.

She will appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court on Monday.
