Baddeley struggling at PGA Canadian Open

Aaron Baddeley is squandering a chance to make ground on the leaders midway through the third round of the US PGA Tour's Canadian Open.

Starting moving day just four shots off the pace at Toronto's famed Glen Abbey course, the four-time US Tour winner has dropped two shots in his opening 10 holes to fall to eight-under-par and seven shots back of the leaders.

Kevin Tway, whose father Bob won the Canadian Open in 2003, currently sits atop the leaderboard alongside Whee Kim at 15 under.

World No.1 Dustin Johnson was threatening to run away with five birdies in his opening six holes but a bogey at the par-4 10th has seen him fall back to a tie for third at 14 under.

The big-hitting Johnson, a two-time runner-up at the event, shares third alongside Byeong Hun An.

Baddeley leads the Australian charge but is fighting to stay in the tournament having carded three bogeys on the front nine.

The two-time Australian Open champion Baddeley picked up a birdie at the 10th and will need a back-nine charge to give himself a chance going into Sunday's final round.

Rod Pampling is next best of the Australians at five under the card nearing completion of his third round, while Cameron Percy sits four shots further back.
