Man bitten, officer hurt after Qld chase
A police officer has suffered a broken collarbone while a man is under police guard in a Gold Coast hospital following a pursuit.
A stolen Ford Laser was tracked by a police helicopter just before 8pm on Tuesday travelling through a stationary speed camera site at high speed.
It was then observed travelling at high speeds and driving dangerously through several suburbs with a pursuit authorised. The car's tyres were punctured but a 33-year-old man continued driving on rims before exiting the vehicle on Brisbane Road in Arundel.
After exiting the vehicle he was tracked a police dog, which bit him on the groin while a male senior constable suffered his injury after falling down an embankment during the search.
