Daylight saving ends on Sunday

Night owls can look forward to adding an extra hour to their Sunday sleep-in this weekend as the clocks are turned back for the end of daylight saving.

Clocks will be wound back one hour from 3am on Sunday in NSW, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and the ACT.

The change will put Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Hobart on the same time as Brisbane, two hours ahead of Perth and half an hour ahead of Adelaide and Darwin.

But Queensland, Western Australia and the Northern Territory can all rest easy, with no changes to their time zones.

Daylight saving time returns in October.
