Straighteners stolen in Vic salon heists
Beauty-conscious bandits have broken into two salons in Melbourne's southeast, stealing straighteners and other assorted hair products.
Police are investigating whether the early Thursday morning robberies, which happened about an hour apart in Mt Waverley and Rowville, are linked.
A 33-year-old male resident was assaulted outside the Mt Waverley business as he confronted the three offenders who supposedly fled in a white SUV, while a white station wagon similar to one linked to the Rowville robbery was later found burned out nearby.
