NSW Police chase drunk driver for 20km
A drunk driver with a disqualified licence has allegedly led police on a lengthy, high speed chase through the NSW South Coast.
The 39-year-old man allegedly accelerated away from police near Bega in the early hours of Saturday, leading them on an 20 kilometre chase, exceeding speeds of 150km/h.
Police used road spikes to stop the man's vehicle before arresting and charging him with failing to stop and driving while disqualified.
The man, who allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.172, is due to appear at Batemans Bay Local Court on Sunday.
