England sent into bat in Perth tour match

England will bat first in their two-day tour match against a Cricket Australia XI at Perth's Richardson Park, where the hosts have opted to bowl.

Moeen Ali, who is captaining England for the first time, is the only player from the tourists' incumbent Test XI taking part in the fixture.

Victoria opener Travis Dean is leading an inexperienced CA XI.

"This is a great opportunity for the young guys in our team to showcase their skills," Moeen said at the toss.

England XI: Keaton Jennings, Dan Lawrence, Gary Ballance, Moeen Ali (capt), Ben Foakes, Liam Livingstone, Joe Clarke, Mark Wood, Tom Curran, Mason Crane, Jake Ball, Jack Leach (12th man).
