Pair charged over Sydney shooting

Two people have been charged after a car park shooting in Sydney's west.

A 23-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were arrested in Jamisontown shortly after the alleged Werrington County attack, which left a man in hospital with gunshot wounds.

The 30-year-old victim knocked on the door of a nearby home asking for help just after midnight on Thursday, and was taken to Westmead Hospital.

He remains in a stable condition, police say.

Officers found an abandoned Toyota Camry shortly afterwards and seized two guns from the vehicle.

They later stopped a red Holden sedan, before arresting the male driver and his female passenger.

A gun and cannabis were seized from inside the vehicle.

The driver has been charged with multiple firearm offences, while the woman has been charged with prohibited drug possession.
