Wentworth star up for Helpmann Awards
Wentworth TV star Pamela Rabe and veteran film actor Hugo Weaving have received Helpmann Award nominations, while the Andrew Upton-directed Endgame is heavily represented.
Rabe was nominated in two categories for different stage shows, while Weaving was among a swag of actors from Endgame who are now in line to win a prestigious stage award.
Nominations were announced in 42 categories covering drama, ballet, cabaret, comedy, musicals, opera touring shows and industry awards.
Nominations for Upton's Endgame not only recognised the actors but also the director himself.
Rabe received a Best Female Actor nomination for The Glass Menagerie and Best Female Supporting Actor for Beckett Triptych - Footfalls.
Also appearing in both categories is Sarah Peirse.
The nominations are on line at www.helpmannawards.com.au and the winners will be announced on July 27 at Sydney's Capitol Theatre.
