DCE will be back to best: Bennett

Brisbane coach Wayne Bennett expects Manly's Daly Cherry-Evans to be at his best in Friday night's NRL clash at Suncorp Stadium after finally ending his contract saga.

Cherry-Evans ended months of speculation when he announced he would renege on a four-year Gold Coast deal and stay at the Sea Eagles.

Manly may be dead last and Brisbane equal first but Bennett has rated Friday night's clash a "danger game" due to Cherry-Evans, who will look to stake a Queensland Origin II claim after overcoming a shoulder complaint.
