McKenney wants to get Rinehart dancing
There is one person who Dancing with the Stars judge Todd McKenney would love to see compete in the new season - multi-billionaire Gina Rinehart.
McKenney will return as a judge on the Seven Network's program later this year when it enters its 15th season.
Daniel MacPherson won't be back to co-host with Edwina Bartholomew and his replacement is yet to be announced.
The former Neighbours star quit Dancing With The Stars after seven seasons to focus on his acting.
"When Sonia (Kruger) left we were all quite sad but it was kind of nice to get Edwina and bring some fresh energy to it without anybody having to be sacked," McKenney told AAP.
"It's the same with Dan going, he is not being sacked so it is kind of a way of forcing the show to be rejuvenated."
Samantha Jade, Sophie Monk and Rebecca Gibney have been touted as possible contestants but McKenney doesn't flinch when asked who he would like to see strut their stuff on the show:
"Gina Rinehart. Instead of rhinestones, she'd have diamonds."
McKenney is currently playing Lord Evelyn Oakleigh in musical Anything Goes, which opens in Melbourne on Sunday when he celebrates his 50th birthday.
The show is then scheduled to travel to Brisbane in July and Sydney in September.
