State of Origin kicks ratings goals

Queensland's 11-10 win in the State of Origin opener against NSW has scored top points in the television ratings.

Some 2.432 million Aussies tuned into the Nine Network to watch the tussle on Wednesday night, with 1.549 million watching the pre-match and 1.019 million people seeing the post-match broadcast.

MasterChef was the only non-news or sport program to make the top ten programs, attracting 937,000 viewers, according to OzTAM.
