Coca-Cola worker charged over kickbacks

A senior Coca-Cola Amatil employee has been charged after allegedly receiving at least $500,000 in corrupt kickbacks from a vehicle supplier.

The 61-year-old was arrested on Wednesday at a business in Macquarie Park, in northwestern Sydney, following a tip-off from the company late last year.

Police allege the man received kickbacks on a per-vehicle basis while in charge of the company's $30 million fleet contract.

He has been charged over four payments made in June 2014 and January this year totalling $504,900.

Investigations continue into millions of dollars in payments dating back several years.

He has been charged with four counts of receiving corrupt commissions and one count of money laundering. He will face court in April.
