Appeal to identify injured Qld runner

Police are appealing for public help to identify a man who suffered a heart attack while running in the northern Queensland city of Townsville.

Police say the man lost consciousness on a running track in Castle Hill on Wednesday morning.

A passer-by spotted him and he was taken to Townsville Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

The man appears to be in his 50s, 183cm tall and has short grey hair. He was wearing a maroon shirt with `Sun Hotel' stitching, black shorts and a blue hat.

It's not known if the man is a resident of the Townsville area or visiting.
