Double Ds wine cellar audited on Block
Darren and Deanne are under the microscope over their wine cellar on The Block Triple Threat but they maintain it is their rivals who will end up having egg on their faces.
Host of the Nine Network's reality renovation show Scott Cam will audit the Melbourne couple's wine cellar, on the request of fellow contestants Anastasia and Tim.
Tim told Cam that Darren and Deanne's receipt shows they spent $3,000 on wine when he suspects the actual retail value is around $11,500.
Deanne and Darren maintain they have followed the rules that allow teams to negotiate discounts no greater than 50 per cent.
"Whatever - have your wine audit and them maybe we can move on," Deanne said.
"There is one particular couple (Anastasia and Tim) who thought they had the cellar in the bag and they are not happy.
"They have made a few little snide remarks here and there about our win.
"It will end up with a couple of couples with egg on their face."
Cam said should Darren and Deanne be found to have broken the rules one possibility was for them to be forced to pay other teams cash.
The Block Triple Threat continues on Nine at 7.30pm (AEDT) on Thursday.
