Madonna has her say in IVF debate

Madonna has posted a veiled criticism against Italian designer Dolce Domenico's recent controversial remarks about IVF.

Domenico, one half of the luxury brand Dolce & Gabbana, came under fire this week after he labelled babies conceived via IVF "synthetic".

Madonna has weighed in on the debate, posting a photo of herself with a baby on her lap in a Dolce & Gabbana campaign from Autumn/Winter 2010/2011.

"All babies contain a soul however they come to this earth and their families. There is nothing synthetic about a soul!! So how can we dismiss IVF and surrogacy? Every soul comes to us to teach us a lesson. God has his hand in everything even technology! We are arrogant to think Man does anything on his own. As above so below! Think before you speak.#livingforlove," she posted alongside the photo.

It's another blow for the designing duo after Elton John called for a boycott of their brand.

Celebrities including Ricky Martin, Courtney Love and American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy have promised to join the boycott.
