Kravitz cancels all dates in Aus and Asia
Lenny Kravitz has cancelled his Australia and Asia tour, including his headline Bluesfest appearance.
The legendary rocker was scheduled to perform at the Byron Bay festival on April 2 but has now cancelled all Australian dates due to an unforeseen "contractual scheduling issue."
"I have been looking forward to coming to play for my fans and I'm deeply sorry that my concert had to be cancelled," he said in a statement.
Bluesfest says they will replace Kravitz but will allow refunds on Thursday single-day tickets for those fans who no longer wish to attend.
"It is sad for all of us here at Bluesfest, when anyone cancels, as we know it must be for Lenny's fans right now," Festival director Peter Noble said.
"Please be assured we are now attempting to find someone else to come and play."
Kravitz had also been booked to perform April shows in Melbourne and Sydney.
The tour's promoter Chugg Entertainment says ticketholders to those shows will be refunded.
Kravitz' seven Asia dates in Japan, Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia have also been binned.
