T20 Big Bash bowls a winner to Network Ten
It's usually sporting clubs who talk about teams having a favourable draw but now Network Ten has joined in after the release of the T20 Big Bash summer fixture.
The network is boasting Cricket Australia has bowled it a juicy half volley outside the off-stump which it intends smashing to the ratings fence.
Ten says the new T20 fixture provides fans with the best ever viewing times with 34 of the 35 matches being staged in prime time.
The domestic Big Bash competition, which is a twenty overs per side format, has been a hit with fans both at the ground and on TV.
Ten gained the rights for the Big Bash last summer and the final in February had more than a million viewers to be the number one show for the night.
The redeveloped Adelaide Oval will host the opening match between the Adelaide Strikers and the Melbourne Stars on December 18.
The semi-finals will be staged on the Australia Day weekend and the grand final will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015.
Ten's commentary team is headed-up by former Australian Test cricket quartet Adam Gilchrist, Ricky Ponting, Mark Waugh and Damien Fleming.
