Three added to team for Glasgow
Double silver medallist Nikki Hamblin is one of eight late additions named on Wednesday in the New Zealand athletics team for next month's Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
Hamblin, Lucy van Dalen and Julian Matthews join five sprinters confirmed for the women's 4x400m relay team, bringing the track and field contingent to 20.
Van Dalen, who contested the 1500m at the 2012 London Olympics, has been named in the 5000m for Glasgow while Matthew and Hamblin will run over 1500m.
Hamblin won silver medals over 800m and 1500m at the 2010 New Delhi Commonwealth Games, and holds the national 1500m record at 4min 04.82sec as well as the second fastest ever time for 800m at 1:59.66.
The 26-year-old has represented New Zealand at two world championships, but injury prevented her from competing at the London Olympics and last year's Moscow world championships.
Hamblin has bounced back after heel surgery, clocking 4:07.07 in Los Angeles recently to cement her Glasgow spot.
Van Dalen competed at the London Olympics, making it through to the semi-finals in the 1500m at her first major championship and recently competed at the world indoor championships in Poland over 3000m.
She is the fourth fastest ever New Zealander over 5000 and the second fastest over 1500.
Matthews, 25, set a personal best of 3:38.20 to post his qualifying time in California just two weeks ago, and has been running out of Providence College in Rhode Island.
The women's 4x400 relay team, given the green light in the early May selection announcement, will comprise Zoe Ballantyne, Portia Bing, Katherine Camp, Brooke Cull and Louise Jones.
Dell's inclusion is subject to form and fitness requirements being met. Kristie Baillie and Ellie McCleery will be reserves for the relay team.
Decathletes Brent Newdick and Scott McLaren will also be added if they satisfy the selectors' requirements to prove fitness and form.
