Butler stars in Northamptonshire debut

New Zealand seamer Ian Bulter produced a notable performance on his debut for Northamptonshire to help the county begin the defence of their English Twenty20 cricket title with a tight win.

Butler took 4-25 at Headingley as Northamptonshire restricted Yorkshire to 162-7.

Compatriot Kane Williamson, opening for the home side, made a good start, reaching 17 at a run a ball before being run out off a direct hit.

In reply, Northampton only just reached their target, get to 165-7 with a ball to spare.
