Carrington into World Cup canoe final
New Zealander Lisa Carrington has powered her way into the final of the women's K1 500m event at the canoe sprint World Cup in the Czech Republic.
She clocked 1min 56.706sec to record the fastest time of the three semi-finals at Racice.
The Olympic and world champion over 200m, Carrington, won over both distances at the opening World Cup round in Milan a fortnight ago.
The men's combination of Zac Quickenden, Jarrod Fitzgerald, Marty McDowell and Darryl Fitzgerald will also contest a final after coming third in their K4 1000m semi-final.
