Suppression order on SA shooting accused
A suppression order has been imposed on the identity of a man charged with murder after a fatal shooting in Adelaide.
The 44-year-old faced Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday where the order was imposed to allow police to continue their investigations.
They argued that identification could be an issue.
The man is charged with the murder of 41-year-old Glenn Michael Holton on Sunday night.
Mr Holton was found slumped in a street at suburban Edwardstown after police and paramedics were called to the scene.
He was taken to Flinders Medical Centre in a critical condition but died soon after.
Immediately after the shooting police said they were treating the incident as a homicide.
On Monday they seized a white Toyota Camry believed to be connected to the victim for forensic examination.
Officers also doorknocked local residents and later released CCTV of three vehicles in the area at the time of the incident.
The first two vehicles appeared to be small white hatchbacks or sedans and the third was a white sports utility.
"Investigators are seeking to identify those vehicles and their drivers as they believe they may have important information that could assist the investigation," police said in a statement.
"Those drivers potentially saw the victim, a man riding a pushbike, and possibly a third person in the street."
The man charged with murder made no application for bail and was ordered to return to court in April.
