A model of a bad comedy

Role Models almost as wretched as Bride Wars.
It's a slackly directed, grubbily photographed, utterly formulaic comedy about two thirtysomething losers (Seann William Scott as a sex-obsessed party animal and Paul Rudd as a grouch) who supposedly learn life lessons through mentoring a couple of obnoxious children.
In a vain attempt to raise laughs, the film-makers continually resort to foul obscenities - mostly by the smaller and nastier of the two children - and sleazy references to female breasts, several pairs of which are revealed for the audience to ogle.

Towards the end, we are made to watch the two adult leads behave like idiots and dress up as members of Kiss.

This is meant to be endearing, and the film-makers clearly believe it constitutes redemption. Perhaps it does, on some other planet.
