MacGregor leaves 'Today'
Sue MacGregor is to leave Radio 4's flagship Today programme after 18 years.
The 60-year-old, one of the BBC's most distinguished presenters, has become tired of early morning starts.
'Working on Today over all these years has been enormously enjoyable, challenging, stimulating and, yes, occasionally exhausting. But now it's time to move on,' she said.
Miss MacGregor will mark her departure in February with an appearance on Desert Island Discs.
She will be replaced by three presenters - Sarah Montague, Ed Stourton and Allan Little - working in rotation.
