Emmerdale: Lisa Riley to RETURN as Mandy Dingle after ex Paddy's paternity bombshell... as Robert Sugden's exit is confirmed in epic summer teaser
Emmerdale have confirmed that Lisa Riley will be reprising her role as Mandy Dingle later this year.
The actress confirmed she would be back in the village this September with her son Vinny as part of another epic storyline involving her ex-husband Paddy, six months after dropping an explosive bombshell about the truth surrounding his real father.
It came as bosses also confirmed that actor Ryan Hawley will be leaving Emmerdale later this year as part of an epic summer storyline, as Robert Sugden is determined to get revenge against her sister Victoria's rapist.

Speaking to The Sun and other media, the soap's Executive Producer Jane Hudson said: 'We have Mandy Dingle and her son Vinny coming back in to the village, which we're all very excited about.
'They come back with scams and everything going on. There's lots in store and it's going to be fun and very colourful, as she makes herself at home in the Dingle household.'
Fans were delighted when Lisa made a brief return to the Dales in January after 17 years away, and dropped the bombshell that Paddy's mother had an affair with wrestler Bear Wolf, meaning he could be his real dad.

Mandy's return will inevitably cause drama for Paddy (Dominic Brunt) as he will be set to welcome his baby son with partner Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) later this year.
Meanwhile Emmerdale bosses also gave fans an insight into what fans can expect from the soap this summer, as several story lines come to a head in explosive fashion.
Among them will be Robert's never-ending quest for revenge after learning his sister Victoria had been raped.

While it was reported that actor Ryan would be leaving the soap later this year, this marked the first time producers officially confirmed the departure.
Producer Laura Shaw said: 'Ryan Hawley is leaving the show — it's been a fantastic five years with him and we will miss him dearly.
'There is some time left with him on screen yet but in time, it does mean that our beloved Robron are going to be parted.'

Other plots will see Moira Dingle embark on a steamy affair with hunky farmhand Nate Robinson, with her husband Cain (Jeff Hordley) set to find out the truth later this year.
Tracy Metcalfe's life will be changed forever after she is trapped in the factory during a dangerous fire started by two of the villagers.
Meanwhile Ellis (Asan N'Jie) will continue to be haunted by his past, and Kerry Wyatt's (Laura Norton) relationship with her daughter Amy (Chelsea Halfpenny) will deteriorate further as they lobby for custody of schoolboy Kyle.
Emmerdale continues on Wednesday 10th July at 7pm on ITV.
