Harry on location
So many historic locations across the country were used as backdrops for the Harry Potter film that tourism chiefs plan to invite visitors to 'Come Potter Round Britain'.
The British Tourist Authority aims to give holidaymakers maps of all the sites where Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone was filmed as soon as the movie is released, flagging them as must-see attractions on the tourist trail.
Although locations were kept top secret during filming, we can reveal some of the major ones. Read on to see if they are anywhere near you.
The school's classrooms meanwhile were recreated in the National Trust's Lacock Abbey in Wiltshire, pictured below. Other scenes also take place in the streets of Lacock village.
Picket Post Close just outside Bracknell in Berkshire doubles as Privet Drive, where the Dursley's, Harry's aunt and uncle, live.
London Zoo's Reptile House meanwhile was used for the scenes where Harry realises he can communicate with serpents. And platform Four at London's King's Cross station doubled for platform nine-and-three-quarters while Goathland in North Yorkshire was used for scenes showing the arrival of the Hogwart's Express.
