Innocent Blood
In a similar vein (no pun intended) to his earlier 'shlock-comedy', An American Werewolf In London, John Landis returns to form with this tale of a French vampire who has a taste - literally - for bad guys.
The lead role goes to Anne Parillaud, who is best known for her steely portrayal of the female assassin in Nikita, and here makes her Hollywood debut.
The movie's best moments are provided by Parillaud's Italian 'snack', the mafioso Sal 'The Shark' Macelli (wonderfully played by a dentally-challenged Robert Loggia).
Watch out for cameos by directors Frank Oz and Sam Raimi, among others.
