The Fugitive
Tommy Lee Jones won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his performance in this fine thriller as a US federal marshal who is doggedly chasing an escaped prisoner, Dr Richard Kimble (Harrison Ford).
Ford also turns in a gripping performance, not only as a man wrongfully convicted of killing his wife, but also as her avenger, determined to track down the real killer.
There is plenty of tension and breathless chase scenes, but the main attraction of this film is the relationship that gradually develops between the intelligent and heroically intense Kimble, and his equally determined pursuer.
