'She finds it very amusing': Gogglebox Australia's Adam Densten and Symon Lovett reveal what their girlfriends REALLY think of their TV antics

They're the Gogglebox favourites who began the series as a pair of TV-obsessed students but are now both qualified physiotherapists.

But Adam Densten and Symon Lovett told the Herald Sun on Wednesday their girlfriends are still surprised by their unlikely television careers. 

Symon's partner finds his side career 'a very amusing concept' and laughed when he told her about it. He said, 'She was like, "Really? Couch? Your friend - working?"'

Meanwhile, Adam said his girlfriend appreciates his role on Gogglebox because he doesn't 'yammer on at her' about TV shows when they're together.

He explained: 'So she's like, "It's good, because you can get all your ridiculousness out of the way, and come back and be normal with me.'"

While Adam and Symon pursue professional careers, it still remains a mystery how much the Googlebox cast are actually paid.

Tom and Wayne have previously said they don't get paid to be armchair TV critics, but they admit to getting some money as a 'location fee'.

Tom told Mamamia last year: 'It's a very minimal amount and I can guarantee I drink more each episode than what they pay.'

Clarifying the details, he said: 'What they do is they give us a location fee. Wayne and I don’t get paid, basically it's for the house and the electricity.'

But an earlier interview with Gogglebox participant Anastasia appears to contradict this 'minimal' payment claim.

She told Nova 96.9: 'I get paid, I’m not watching TV for free. Who says we don’t get paid? But it’s too personal to tell how much. I’m doing alright.'

Gogglebox airs Wednesdays at 7.30pm on Lifestyle and Thursdays at 9.00pm on Network Ten.
