Perfect
Despite a slow start, this opening episode of Susan Oudot's two-parter will leave you anxious to find out more next week.
Michelle Collins, who also starred in Oudot's Real Women, plays Julie, a nurse whom we see sneaking away from her husband Karl (Adam Kotz).
Her motives are unclear but, seeking out an old friend in London, she soon finds fresh meat in the shape of hunky bar owner Dave (Richard Hawley).
We realise that all is not as it seems when Julie resorts to lies and subterfuge to engineer a proposal of marriage.
It isn't giving too much away to say that this is a drama about serial bigamy.
Soon Julie's wandering eye fixes on a tall, dark prospect in the hospital ward (Nicholas Gleaves).
What keeps you watching, apart from the better than workmanlike performances, is a gnawing desire to find out why on earth this woman would want to saddle herself with more than one husband.
