World Routes
In a welcome development for world music fans, Radio 3 has finally seen the light, moving Lucy Duran's international music programme from its graveyard slot on Sunday nights to this new, far more userfriendly time.
Additionally, programming time for world music has more than doubled, with Duran's former co-presenter Andy Kershaw beginning his own weekly music show this Friday night at 10.15pm.
Duran celebrates her programme's new prominence with a visit to Rio de Janeiro to interview one of Brazil's most popular singers, Caetano Veloso.
World Routes' regular magazine format of music, news and features from around the world, CD reviews and concert excerpts will also continue.
