The NeverEnding Story

This minor children's classic, reminiscent in some ways of the Wizard Of Oz, makes for ideal, imaginative family viewing.

The film tells the story of a 10-year-old boy, Bastian, who escapes from his lonely, difficult life into a fantasy world where he gets to save a beautiful princess and destroy the forces of evil.

The starting premise is ingenious, too, with the boy first drawn into this fantasy world through a mysterious, ancient book.
