Does Colin deserve to win?

Although Bridget Jones faces a terrible dilemma over whether to chose Colin Firth (the decent Mark Darcy) over Hugh Grant (her cad-like boss Daniel Cleaver) there's absolutely no competition when it comes to who sets more pulses races among femail.co.uk readers.

In our poll more than twice as many of you have voted for Firth than for Grant, with Firth the runaway favourite to win.

So as it appears that many of you have quite a thirst for Firth, we've put together a gallery of the most mouth-watering pictures we could find of the star.

See him in his younger days when he played Tommy Judd opposite Rupert Everett in Another Country, a film about the impact of public school life. Swoon at his floppy hair and smouldering brown eyes in pictures taken before he hit the big time. And see that picture of Firth in the 1995 production of Jane Austen's Pride And Prejudice in which he plays the dashing Mr Darcy opposite actress Jennifer Ehle.
