Later With Jools Holland
Holland returns for the umpteenth series of Later, the eclectic music show with a studio audience that dances self-consciously.
His opening line-up looks impressive: The Stereophonics, with songs from latest album Just Enough Education to Perform; The Black Crowes (like REM, from Georgia, though there the similarities end); Philadelphia's hip-hop hipsters Spooks; and, from Tucson, Arizona, Calexico, who were evidently 'blown in like tumbleweed on a dusty Southern Pacific wind'.
Later in the run, expect the likes of the wonderful disappearing Stereo MCs, Air, Manic Street Preachers and REM themselves.
