Clocking Off
The second run of Paul Abbott's excellent series of dramas about the workers at a Manchester textiles factory was initially scheduled for Sunday evening some weeks ago. Then the BBC got the jitters and couldn't decide what to do with it, finally slotting it into Monday evening. Well, it's good to have it back.
The first story (of seven) focuses on Kev (Jack Deam), a man who is pretty happy with his life - steady job, cute girlfriend, his own home, nights out with the boys.
Then his workmate Brian Pringle, having broken up with his wife, moves in across the road and one day Kev gets curious about what Brian is up to.
He takes a peek and what he sees - or thinks he sees - sends his life into a tailspin...
