Hear'Say girlfriend is target of hate mail
Hear'Say's Danny Foster has revealed how his long-term girlfriend has been the target of obsessive fans who have been bombarding her with hate mail.
The 21-year-old Londoner, who won the hearts of thousands of female fans through the ITV series Popstars, said the experience had been the most negative thing to come out of his rise to stardom.
Foster's 19-year-old girlfriend Chloe, who is currently a student at Kent University in Canterbury, recently made a brief appearance on the Popstars show, since when she has been targeted by jealous fans.
In an interview with Heat magazine Foster said: 'The letters and stuff that Chloe has been getting have been vicious. She is trying to cope with it but as you can imagine it isn't easy for her.
'She never asked to be in the public eye and she certainly never asked for this. It has not been great for her recently.'
He said the pair, who have been together for three years, are hoping the situation comes to an end soon.
'It has scared her and it is the most negative thing to come out of the whole experience,' he said.
It is not the first time the band members or their loved ones have faced the downside of stardom.
Earlier this month police were called to investigate when fellow Popstar Myleene Klass received sinister hate mail and her boyfriend was attacked in the street.
