For a Hollywood marriage, four years together is a good innings.
But Brad Pitt put on a brave face as he arrived in Japan to promote his new film Ocean's Twelve.
As he greeted excited fans at Narita International Airport near Tokyo, the heart-throb desperately tried not to look miserable and alone following his high-profile split with wife Jennifer Aniston.
The actor put his best foot forward as he was mobbed by love-struck fans vying for his attention - a little more than usual now that he is single.
But his tinted sunglasses - an accessory frequently used by celebrities to hide puffy eyes - did not go unnoticed.
On a chilly winter's day and with fans gathering indoors, Brad could have left the shades at home. Perhaps he thought they may come in handy to shield the glare of the paparazzi.
