A media day promotional event for The Studio slated for Tuesday has been canceled in the wake of the death Friday of actress Catherine O'Hara, who played the role of Patty Leigh on the Apple TV show.
Seth Rogen, Ike Barinholtz, Kathryn Hahn and Chase Sui Wonders were slated to attend the event at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, Deadline reported Sunday, adding that O'Hara had not been scheduled to be there.
The cast told the outlet in a joint statement after the death of the Emmy-winning actress at 71, 'We are at a loss for words at the passing of our friend Catherine O’Hara.
'She was a hero to all of us, and we pinched ourselves every day that we got to work with her on. She was somehow classy, warm, and hilarious all at the same time. We’re unbelievably saddened she is gone and send our deepest sympathy to Bo and all her family.'
The Studio co-creator Rogen hailed O'Hara as an inspiration in a statement to the outlet, saying that 'Home Alone was the movie that made me want to make movies.
He added: 'I told O’Hara when I first met her I thought she was the funniest person I’d ever had the pleasure of watching on screen.'

Ike Barinholtz said working with the late actress was a career milestone he'll forever cherish.

'So incredibly grateful I got to spend the time I did with her. Thank you, Catherine. I love you.'
Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin said on social media following his co-star's death, 'Mama. I thought we had time. I wanted more.
'I wanted to sit in a chair next to you. I heard you. But I had so much more to say. I love you. I'll see you later.'
Apple and Lionsgate released a joint statement saying they were 'heartbroken' by the passing of the actress, who was renowned for her appearances in Home Alone and Schitt's Creek.
