Jack last month took to Instagram to pay tribute to his late father, whose passing rocked the music industry to its foundation this past July.
'He was so many things to so many people, but I was so lucky and blessed to be apart of a very small group that got to call him 'Dad,' said Jack. 'My heart is full of so much sadness and sorrow, but also so much love and gratitude.
'I got 14,501 days with that man and I know that is such a blessing.'
Jack earlier this month opened up in an emotional clip about the manner in which he learned of his famous father's passing.
Jack said the final time he crossed paths with the No More Tears artist in person was earlier in July at Villa Park in Aston, Birmingham, England for the Back to the Beginning concert.
Jack said he subsequently traveled back to his home in the United States and 'knew something bad had happened' intuitively when he had a knock on the door early in the morning on the day of his father's passing.
'My father passed away around 10 a.m. in the morning UK time, I was in Los Angeles, I had been back for about a week,' Jack said. 'Someone who has worked for my family for about 30 years now was knocking on my door, and when I looked through my window and I saw it was him, I knew something bad had happened.
'I was informed that my father had passed.'
