Why Lara dreads getting older
Men in Black II star Lara Flynn Boyle has said she felt she was in her prime at 32 and was "not looking forward to ageing".
The actress, who shot to fame in director David Lynch's cult television series Twin Peaks, said she felt that Hollywood still favoured women in their 20s.
"I know I may be running out of time. There are just not that many roles for older women," she told The Mail On Sunday's magazine.
She added: "On a vanity level, I am not looking forward to ageing at all - I think I look pretty good now."
Referring to her role in Men in Black II alongside Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones as villainess Serleena, she described the experience as "dynamite".
"I love playing bad girls. I wanted to be tough and evil, but stay feminine. I wanted to be a villain but to be girlish too," she added.
The actress, who plays an alien disguised as a lingerie model, said it was "tough" shooting scenes against a blue screen because much of the film is computer-generated.
Men in Black II will be released in the UK on August 2.
