How did you get the black eye, Caprice? Model reveals nasty bruise on visit to radio studio
She’s been keeping a low profile lately, but model Caprice Bourret couldn't help but drew attention to herself in Dublin today where she was seen with a black eye.
The U.S born 38-year-old kept her eyes to the floor as she arrived at the TodayFM studios.
But her appearance stunned onlookers who were left wondering how on earth she had ended up with the huge shiner on her left eye.
How did you get that shiner? Model Caprice Bourret was pictured sporting a huge black eye as she visited the TodayFM studios in Dubin
However, last night Miss Bourret explained to the Daily Mail that her bruised eye was the result of....a game of tennis.
Somewhat aptly during Wimbledon fortnight, the model and businesswoman explained that the black bruising around her left eye was the result of a stray ball during a game of doubles last weekend.
The blonde celebrity was photographed with the bruise as she arrived at the radio station in Dublin.
Nasty injury: It has been suggested that her bruised eye may simply be the result of a game of tennis which went horribly wrong
However, Miss Bourret, 38, told the Daily Mail: ‘I was playing doubles at the weekend and I was playing at the net and got hit with the ball.
‘Its still pretty swollen but will heal eventually. All good.’
The 5ft 11in model’s apparent bad luck comes shortly after it was announced that she is producing her own bedding range for retail giant Littlewoods.
'We've been working on the design for several months now and I'm looking forward to expanding into bedding,' she said.
Cover-up: Caprice hid behind dark sunglasses at first, but removed them to reveal the injury
She already designs lingerie, which is Littlewoods' number one selling brand, and swimwear.
The former model, who has been pictured in more than 300 magazines, launched her own lingerie line, By Caprice, in 2000 and it is sold online and in High Street stores.
She recently revealed that she is dating an unknown Irishman.
'There may be someone on the scene,' she told the Irish Herald earlier this week.
'He's not famous. He's just an ordinary guy. He's not a sportsman or an actor or a celebrity of any sort. That's all I'm saying.’
