Baby on board: Cerys Matthews shows off son Red as she prepares to take him on tour
Three months after giving birth, most mothers would still be coming to grips with the new addition and making the most of rare opportunities to sleep.
But not so for singer Cerys Matthews.
The 40-year-old is preparing to hit the road for her latest tour - and will be taking her son Red along for the ride.
Singer Cerys Matthews and Steve Abbott share the workload as they arrive at the BBC Radio Two studios today with their baby, Red
The former Catatonia singer and her partner Steve Abbott showed off their son for the first time today as they arrived at the BBC Radio Two studios.
The couple couldn't hide their joy as they carried Red, who was sleeping blissfully in a white hooded jump suit, from their car.
Welsh-born Cerys showed no signs of fatigue and was glowing in black pants, boots and top with a light blue military-style jacket and matching scarf.
Red is the first child for Matthews and Abbott, who both have two children from previous relationships
Cerys revived her solo career following a stint in the 2007 series of ITV1's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! and is preparing for a two week Don't Look Down tour, to promote her latest solo album.
Her latest single, Into the Blue, was released last week.
Cerys last month told how her new baby wouldn't stop her from performing.
'I feel quite lucky that I can do this kind of thing - the baby's coming with me on tour,' she said.
'I can sit down and play the guitar - I don't have to rock out so much.'
