How to fall flat and still steal the show
By Mark Reynolds Showbusiness Reporter
It was the most spectacular fall from Grace. But as she stumbled to the floor, the statuesque Miss Jones kept a tight grip on her microphone - and her composure.
Flat on her back, she decided the show must go on and managed to finish her song before being helped to her feet.
The 49-year-old former Bond villain was a guest performer at a tribute party for milliner Philip Treacy at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
In a long sequinned gown that showed off her sinuous frame, she launched into an energetic cabaret number, complete with high kicks.
But when her stiletto got caught in a gold chair on the runway, she crashed to the floor.
'She suddenly just went over backwards, she was all over the floor,' one audience member said. 'She was laughing, but kept on singing while lying on the floor, and finally asked the singer Boy George to help her up.'
