For two decades on Channel 4, Time Team provided cosy viewing for the nation by following the progress of historical digs around the country. Archaeologists such as Mick Aston, Carenza Lewis and Phil Harding peeled back the layers of time through the power of the trowel, while presenter Tony Robinson acted as the everyman go-between, putting their discoveries into words we could all understand.

Channel 4 brought the show to an end in 2014, but the Time Teamers wanted to continue and the series found a new home on YouTube in 2022. Regular digs have been conducted on the channel Time Team Official since and, while the presenter is different (historian Gus Casely-Hayford is now the face of the show), there are still some familiar faces on the archaelogical team, including Carenza Lewis.

The digs themselves are free, but subscribers to Time Team's Patreon subscription have access to assorted behind-the-scenes info and footage. Recent examples include the search for a manor house in Norton Disney, a Lincolnshire village with connections with the Disney family. (24 series)
