A critical and commercial hit, Jordan Peele's horror satire puts race front and centre in an inventive, chilling and entertaining way. Daniel Kaluuya stars as Chris, who, ahead of going to meet the parents of his white girlfriend, Rose, asks her if they know that he is black. Rose assures him that her parents aren't racist - they would have voted for Barack Obama a third time if they could.

The set-up of Get Out is similar to Guess Who's Coming To Dinner, but the danger that Chris faces - and the dread that slowly creeps up on him - is far worse than even the most awkward dinner-party talk. Get Out was one of the most talked about films of the year as a result of all the tension that set-up created and it was nominated for four Oscars. Peele took home the only one it won, for Best Original Screenplay. (104 minutes)
